Pete Finnigan is one of the most well known experts in database security. Pete Finnigan created the SANS Oracle security step-by-step guide and the CIS Oracle benchmark used by NIST, USA DoD and more is a reference to secure Oracle databases. Pete worked out the mechanisms that Oracle used to protect PL/SQL and showed how they can be easily defeated at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas in 2006. Pete has published multiple books on databases security and speaks and publishes papers regularly. His company also produces the tool PFCLScan used to protect Oracle databases.

Mojca Prelesnik je univerzitetna diplomirana pravnica s pravosodnim izpitom.
Avtorica strokovnih člankov in soavtorica knjig s področja dostopa do informacij javnega značaja, varstva zasebnosti in osebnih podatkov, predavateljica na številnih izobraževanjih, usposabljanjih in strokovnih konferencah ter srečanjih (s področja širše javne uprave, delovnega prava, inšpekcijskih postopkov, zdravstva, šolstva, arhivov, gospodarstva, itd.).
Poleg pravnega znanja ima tudi izkušnje na področju zakonodajnega postopka, managerskega dela, vodstvene in organizacijske sposobnosti s področja dela javne uprave, vodenja in finančnega poslovanja. 
Z dostopom do informacij javnega značaja se je začela ukvarjati že leta 2002 na Ministrstvu za informacijsko družbo, kjer je sodelovala pri pripravi predloga zakona o dostopu do informacij javnega značaja in bila v času zaposlitve tudi uradna oseba po ZDIJZ. 
Področje varstva osebnih podatkov je postalo njeno delovno področje leta 2006, ko se je Pooblaščenec za dostop do informacij javnega značaja preoblikoval v Informacijskega pooblaščenca in pridobil pristojnost dotedanjega Inšpektorata za varstvo osebnih podatkov pri Ministrstvu za pravosodje. 
Znanje in izkušnje, pridobljeno v času zaposlitve, najprej na Ministrstvu za informacijsko družbo in nato pri Informacijskem pooblaščencu, je kot generalna sekretarka Državnega zbora lahko še dodatno nadgrajevala v praksi in dobila vpogled v poslovanje kot predstojnica upravljavca številnih zbirk osebnih podatkov in zavezanca za dostop do informacij javnega značaja. Iz letnih poročil po ZDIJZ izhaja, da je Državni zbor v obdobju 2008-2014 izkazal visoko stopnjo dostopnosti do informacij javnega značaja in transparentnega poslovanja. Kot upravljavec zbirk osebnih podatkov je Državni zbor v istem obdobju bistveno izpopolnil in izboljšal zavarovanje zbirk in zaščito osebnih podatkov.
Na predlog predsednika republike Boruta Pahorja jo je Državni zbor 4. 7. 2014 izvolil za informacijsko pooblaščenko. Petletni mandat je informacijska pooblaščenka začela 17. 7. 2014.

Matevž Mesojednik je eden vodilnih slovenskih strokovnjakov za informacijsko varnost, NIL-u pa se je pridružil leta 2016. Jan ŽoržJan Žorž, Go6 / Internet Society
Jan Žorž started his professional career in RS-232/VAX VMS world in 1992 and continued through Novell and Windows environments all the way to Solaris and other UNIX derivatives that today represent the native environment for the majority of his projects. Jan is the Internet Society’s Operational Engagement Programme Manager. He works on operational initiatives to ease the deployment of IPv6 and other technologies. He is also working to help the industry document best-current operational practices and to improve operator feedback to the IETF.
Jan is one of the pioneers of SiOL, the Slovenian national ISP, and has been involved in the organization from the beginning. Among other activities, he began experimenting in 1997 with Internet streaming multimedia content. Based on these experiments, he successfully accomplished projects such as “Dhaulagiri ’99 Live” (an Internet multimedia transmission of Tomaz Humar’s solo climb of the south wall of Dhaulagiri (called Death Zone in the Himalayas), “Ski Everest Live 2000” (an Internet live-video transmission and monitoring of extreme skiing from the summit of Mt. Everest by Davo Karnicar) and other similar projects. Together with two other members of the team “Dhaulagiri ’99 Live”, Jan received a media award/statue “Victor” for special achievement.
For the last seven years, Jan has been working as a consultant in the IT field, specializing in IPv6. He co-founded the Go6 institute (not-for-profit), a Slovenian IPv6 initiative whose main objective is to raise IPv6 awareness in Slovenia and alert the community to the fact that we are approaching extensive changes on the Internet.
Due to the success of Go6 Institute, Slovenia is currently leading the EU as the country most prepared for IPv6 (according to the RIPE NCC’s IPv6 RIPEness study). Jan has been invited to present around the world on his work, the model of the Go6 platform, IPv6 awareness raising and deployment at the national level. These speaking engagements have included conferences such as RIPE Meetings, Google IPv6 Implementors Conference 2010, Internet Governance Forum meetings, OECD meeting, World IPv6 Congresses (Paris and London), as well as national forums in Germany, Greece, Norway, Macedonia, Oman, Brazil and many others.
Jan is also primary co-author of a very successful procurement (specification) paper, published as official RIPE Best Current Practice document RIPE-501, titled “Requirements For IPv6 in ICT Equipment”. This document is translated into more than 10 languages and is used around the world by enterprises and governments when requesting IPv6 features in ICT equipment purchases. RIPE-501 was recently replaced by RIPE-554, also co-authored by Merike Kaeo, Sander Steffann and Jan Žorž.

Toni Kastelic dela na področju preiskovanja računalniške kriminalitete in digitalne forenzike dela od leta 1999, v tistem času se je v slovenski policiji začelo povečevati število prijav kaznivih dejanj računalniške kriminalitete, kot so vdori v informacijske sisteme, spletne goljufije in druga kazniva dejanja na internetu. Roger retired from the Metropolitan Police Service having successfully completed a thirty-four-year career in 2012. He has a unique background in operational command having been pivotal in all major events in London for over 14 years. Accustomed to working at executive and tactical levels, he is well practiced in strategic risk management, managing complex threats to people, property, places and reputation; achieving business continuity and managing specialist teams with national and international responsibilities. He developed command centre processes and training programmes to prepare individuals and teams to command major events, including the 2012 London Olympics. He designed and successfully delivered leadership, incident management training and exercises to a variety of audiences in the UK and abroad. His professional and personal commitment was recognised by Her Majesty in 2007 when he was awarded the Queens Police Medal for distinguished Service. 
Roger is now working as an Advisor, Trainer or Consultant and his portfolio includes; Associate Lecturer, Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College; Associate Tutor, College of Policing; Visiting Lecturer at Portsmouth, St Andrews, Bournemouth, Christ Church and Huddersfield Universities; Advisor to GLA / London Resilience Team as part of the Academic and Operational Reference Group; Editorial Panel Member and occasional writer for Crisis Response Journal; and a number of crisis management and security projects with corporates. At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, he managed and actively participated in numerous projects related to computer network planning and information systems security testing and assessment. Bojan performed forensic analysis for the Croatian CERT and was a member of several CERT IRTs (Incident Response Team). He is a long-standing author for Bug and Mrež@ computer magazines and has his own security column in the magazine Mrež@. He is also the author of the book „What are the viruses and how they work?“, published by SysPrint.
Since 2003, he worked at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, as information security specialist, where he actively participated as IT/Security architect in numerous enterprise projects. He also conducted vulnerability assessment and penetration testing on all internally developed projects at the University.
In 2005 he became one of the handlers of SANS Internet Storm Center (ISC), a voluntary organization with a goal to detect security problems, analyze risks and distribute technical information. ISC is the most often quoted source of security information in the world today. 
Since 2006 Bojan works in INFIGO IS as a senior information security consultant.
He is a member of leading international organizations in the area of information security: ISC2 and SANS. He has a number of security certifications, including CISSP, GCIH, GICA, GWAPT and GMOB. Bojan is also a member of the SANS Advisory Board and a GIAC Gold Advisor.
In 2007 Bojan was a co-author for the book “AVIEN Malware Defense Guide for the Enterprise” where he wrote a chapter on malware analysis. He is also one of the authors on the SANS’ 610 course: “Reverse-Engineering Malware: Malware Analysis Tools and Techniques”.
Since 2010 Bojan is teaching two undergraduate (second year) computer security courses at the Faculty of Computing in Zagreb (Visoka skola za primijenjeno racunarstvo).
Bojan has almost 15 years of experience in as an information security expert/consultant.

Stefano LongariStefano Longari, Politecnico di Milano
Stefano Longari is a PhD student at Politecnico di Milano, in the Electronic, Informatics and Bioengineering department (DEIB). He works in the NECST Laboratory and his main research interest is computer security for automotive environments. More generally his interests range over all IoT security.

Franja Gros, univ.dipl.psih., je svetovalka na Centru pomoči pri prekomerni rabi interneta LOGOUT, kjer svetuje in pomaga posameznikom in družinam, ki imajo težave s prekomerno uporabo digitalnih tehnologij oziroma so zasvojeni s spletnimi vsebinami. Poudarek je na razvijanju zdravega, uravnoteženega in kritičnega odnosa do digitalnih tehnologij in spletnih vsebin. Poleg svetovanj izvaja tudi preventivne delavnice/predavanja za različne ciljne skupine. Pred LOGOUT-om si je dolgoletne delovne izkušnje na področju duševnega zdravja, odvisnosti ter rizičnih vedenj nabirala v Londonu.

Andreja ŠtirnAndreja Štirn, Petrol d.d.
Andreja Štirn je direktorica službe za Poslovno inteligenco v Petrolu. Z odkrivanjem informacij se ukvarja že več kot 20 let. Poslovno pot je začela v podjetju SAS Institute, kjer se je že med študijem seznanila s področjem Poslovne inteligence. V začetku leta 2002 se je pridružila ekipi Si.mobila, kjer je vzpostavila oddelek za Tržno poročanje. Kot vodja kompetenčnega centra za BI je od leta 2003 skrbela tudi za gradnjo Podatkovnega skladišča. 2011 je združila vse analitične službe v podjetju (BI, Tržne raziskave in kontroling) v samostojno organizacijsko enoto Poslovnega Poročanja. Z združevanjem podjetij Si.mobil in Vip.mobile je prevzela tudi vodenje Business Inteligence skupine v Beogradu. Vsa leta je aktivno sodelovala pri koordinaciji korporativne strategije in pomagala oblikovati model ciljnega vodenja in nagrajevanja. Leta 2017 je, po 15 letih izzivov v telekomunikacijah, napočil čas za ustvarjanje novih zgodb. V Petrolu je danes njen največji izziv vzpostaviti sodoben podatkovno-analitični center, ki bo širil informacijsko kulturo v podjetju.

 

Bernarda ŠkrabarBernarda Škrabar, Detektivsko varnostna agencija d.o.o.
Bernarda Škrabar je certificirana mednarodna preiskovalka, detektivka, ambasadorka znanj ter direktorica Detektivsko varnostne agencije. Velik pomen daje prenosu znanja na mlajše in tako že devet let mentorira študente Fakultete za varnostne vede v sklopu prakse. Leta 2015 je prejela priznanje Etični voditelj leta. Njeno podjetje je podpisnik smernic korporativne integritete in deklaracije poštenega poslovanja. Podjetje letno izdaja revijo Pod lupo (letos je izšla 4. slovenska številka revije in prva številka v angleškem jeziku). Bernarda Škrabar opravlja detektivsko dejavnost od leta 2006 in je s strani Fakultete za varnostne vede prejela priznanje karierno uspešna diplomantka. Med drugim je predsednica Komisije za nadzor nad delom detektivov v Detektivski zbornici Republike Slovenije in članica Komisije za detektivske izpite. Lansko leto je prvič v zgodovini v Sloveniji organizirala srečanje tujih detektivov ene izmed največjih svetovnih detektivskih združenj. Trenutno večino svojega prostega časa posveča doktorskem študiju.

Damijan MarinšekDamijan Marinšek, Ministrstvo za javno upravo
Mag. Damijan Marinšek je na Ministrstvu za javno upravo že več kot desetletje vodja informacijske varnosti. V tem času je v okviru Direktorata za informatiko vzpostavil sektor za informacijsko varnost. V proces gostovanja informacijskih rešitev na infrastrukturi MJU je vpeljal storitve informacijske varnosti in prispeval k dvigu zavedanja o pomenu informacijske varnosti pri vodstvu, uporabnikih in dobaviteljih informacijskih sistemov državne uprave. Kot vodilni in notranji presojevalec je sodeloval tudi pri vpeljavi SUVI za Direktorat po ISO 27001.

 

Peter KavčičPeter Kavčič, Fakulteta za organizacijske vede Univerze v Mariboru
Peter Kavčič je študent Fakultete za organizacijske vede, smer organizacija in management informacijskih sistemov. Že od malih nog ga zanimajo računalniki, v zadnjem času pa daje poudarek samoizobraževanju in osveščanju drugih o varnosti in nevarnostih spleta in naprav, ki se pri tem uporabljajo. Osredotoča se na opremo, ki jo uporabljajo domači uporabniki.

 

Urban SuhadolnikUrban Suhadolnik, Fakulteta za računalništvo in informatiko Univerze v Ljubljani
Urban Suhadolnik je študent Fakultete za računalništvo in informatiko. Z računalništvom se ukvarja že od otroštva. V zadnjih dveh letih pa se je začel poglobljeno ukvarjati in udeleževati konferenc s področja računalniške varnosti in etičnega hekanja.

Antonio Pirozzi in 2014 graduated (cum laude) in Master Degree in Computer Engineering at University of Sannio with a thesis entitled “Detecting Android Malware Variants Using Opcodes Frequency Distribution and Call Graphs Isomorphism Analysis”, investigating heuristics to outline malware genome and philogenesys, the supervisor is Dr. Prof. Corrado Aaron Visaggio.
He’s currently PhD Researcher at University of Sannio and Professor of Malware Analysis for the Master in Cyber Security at LinkCampus University
He co-founded, in 2008, along Dr. Prof. C. Aaron Visaggio, the ISWATlab Research Team (www.iswatlab.eu) in University of Sannio, where he actually hold the position of Senior Security Researcher participating in research activities and presenting works at international conferences.
In September 2015 he won a research grant funded by Emaze spa, on “Automatic system for Industrial Vulnerability Assessment” where, until September 2016, he held the position of Vulnerability Researcher. 
Aactually he’s the Director of YOROI Malware Research Lab at Cybaze SpA. He’s also Subject Matter Expert for EC-Council. 
He holds more than 14 Infosec International Certification.
With his Team he discovered numerous Botnet and malware implant of different active APT’s.
His experience goes beyond the classical Computer Security landscape, he worked on numerous projects on GSM Security, ICS Security, Blockchain Malware, composition malware, malware evasion.
He’s investigating the Use of Blockchain as a storage for malware components and the Use of Blockchain as a Command and control center for new generation botnet.

Janko Šavnik, specialist informacijske varnosti, je trenutno zaposlen kot Vodja informacijske in fizične varnosti ter Pooblaščenec za varstvo podatkov v Addiko Bank d.d., v Ljubljani. Njegovo delo večinoma obsega upravljanje sistema varovanja informacij, vodenje varnostnih projektov, svetovanje, izobraževanje in ozaveščanje zaposlenih, kakor tudi neprestano skrb za varstvo osebnih podatkov. 
Od leta 2009 ima naziv CCE (Certified Compuer Examiner) in sodni izvedenec za informacijsko varnost in računalniško forenziko. V letu 2013 je pridobil naziv CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), v letu 2016 pa še naziv CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor). Preden se je poklicno pričel ukvarjati z navedenimi področji je bil 11 let pripadnik policije. 
Poleg zelo dobrega poznavanja informacijske tehnologije in računalniške forenzike, dobro pozna slovenske in EU regulatorne zahteve, ki se nanašajo na informacijsko varnost, varstvo osebnih podatkov, varnost internetnih plačil, varnost plačilnih kartic in podobno.
